Micro Precision is a screw machine job shop located in Delavan, Wisconsin. In July of 2018, Ingersoll Lighting guided Micro Precision through a relamping of their office and production areas.
Their preexisting lighting consisted of 4 Lamp 4′ 32W fluorescent tubes. Their primary need was to boost the light levels in the production areas because their current lighting was emitting insufficient foot candles and a color temperature of 3,500K.
Following the Lighting Audit, we decided that the best solution was to relamp with 4′ 18W 5000K LED tubes instead of installing full-fixture replacements. As a result of this transition, their production areas increased their foot candles by 20 while also boosting the color temperature by 1,500K.
Afterward, Micro Precision requested to have all their offices done. In the office environment, Ingersoll Lighting replaced 4′ 32W fluorescent tubes with 4′ 15W 4000K LED tubes. Because of our customized lighting solution, Micro Precision has experienced a reduction in energy consumption, operating cost, and maintenance cost by over 50%. Due to these significant decreases, they now experience an annual savings of $29,087.
